Calling all Lived Experience Leaders: Join Our Scotland Lex Leaders Network!

Are you an existing or aspiring Lex Leader? Do you use your Lived Experience in your work? Do you use your Lived Expertise to support or advocate for others in your community? 

Those of us who are Lex Leaders, directly using and activating our lived expertise in our work to help our own communities, bring knowledge, passion and understanding of those communities to our work. Lex Leaders can also face unique challenges when working on issues that impact ourselves, including not only the barriers of marginalisation, but additional trauma and other impact from being part of the communities we serve.

We know that we have much to learn from one another, from sharing professional skills and networks to understanding the challenges faced by different communities and identities. We also know that there are experiences unique to those of us using our lived expertise directly in our work.

That’s why we’re launching an exciting new project to create an intersectional network for LEx Leaders, offering the support, learning and connections you truly need. But first, we need your input!

We’re hosting an introduction and discovery session in April, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your vision for a LEx Leaders network. Additionally, we’ll be conducting a survey to gather your insights on how we can shape the network to best serve you.
